Nach unserer ersten längeren Tour durch Norwegen und Schweden war für uns schnell klar, dass wenn wir eine längere Zeit mit dem Fahrzeug unterwegs sind, neue Sitze ins Auto müssen.
Die Auswahl an Sitzen für den Defender ist groß und die Qualität sehr unterschiedlich. Man landet also schnell bei den bekannten Herstellern wie Recaro, König und co.
Bei der Suche nach einem deutschen Hersteller von Sitzen haben wir bei uns in unmittelbarer Nähe die Firma Greiner entdeckt.
Greiner stellt exklusiv für den Defender die LR Traveller Sitzreihe her welche wie das original eine klappbare Sitzfläche haben. Nach nun mehr als 6000km mit diesen Sitzen möchten wir diese nicht mehr missen.

Sitzheizung umbauen
Der Umbau der Sitzheizung ist, dank der vollständig vorkonfektionierten Kabelbäume, schnell erledigt.
Wir hatten in unserem Modell bereits eine serienmäßige Sitzheizung verbaut was den Umbau fast schon zu Plug&Play gemacht hat.
Für die Verbindung mit den originalen Schaltern und bereits vorhandenen Anschlüssen ist lediglich ein Stecker vom Typ YPC116820, Einzeladerabdichtung und Terminal notwendig. Wir sind hierzu bei Ebay fündig geworden.
Die Steckerbelegung im YPC116820 war bei uns 1 (+) und 2 (-). Messen könnt ihr dies im existierenden Stecker mit Hilfe von Prüfspitzen und einem Multimeter auf Gleichstrom Einstellung.
Den existierenden Kabelbaum haben wir an den Steckern gekürzt und die Pluspole (rotschwarz) und Minuspole (Schwarz und Gelbschwarz) mit Hilfe von Wagoklemmen mit dem LR Stecker verbunden.

After our first longer tour through Norway and Sweden, it quickly became clear to us that if we were to drive for a longer period of time, we would have to get new seats in the car.
There is a large selection of seats for the Defender and the quality is very different. So you quickly end up with well-known manufacturers such as Recaro, König and co.
When looking for a German manufacturer of seats, we discovered the Greiner company in our immediate vicinity.
Greiner produces the LR Traveler seats exclusively for the Defender which, like the original, has a foldable seat. After more than 6000km with these seats we don't want to miss them anymore.

Modify the seat heater
The conversion of the seat heating is done quickly thanks to the fully pre-assembled cable harnesses. We had already installed a seat heater as standard in our model, which made the conversion almost plug & play.
For the connection with the original switches and existing connections, only a plug of the type YPC116820, single wire seal and terminal is required. We found what we were looking for on Ebay.
The pin assignment in the YPC116820 was 1 (+) and 2 (-). You can measure this in the existing connector with the help of test probes and a multimeter for direct current setting.
We shortened the existing wiring harness at the plugs and connected the plus poles (red-black) and minus poles (black and yellow-black) to the LR plug with the help of Wago connector.
